History from farm to holiday accommodation

Surrounded by green forests and steep meadows all around Ellen the Prielerhof is located in the Pustertal Valley in a secluded location. It has been in the possession of our family for 150 years now. Once, the inhabitants only came to their farm or to their house via a narrow path with their horses. Our ancestors experienced a hard everyday life with a lot and dangerous work on the steep fields. The hay had to be collected by hand, the whole family was challenged and everyone at the farm had to lend a hand.

Only in the in the 1980s, the road to Ellen constructed. This fact allowed the mountain farmers to improve their economic situation from then on.
