High above the valley enjoy the peace and quiet
Nature, culture, interesting and adventurous things, you will find all this right outside our door or very close by.
Our farm is located in the mountain village of Ellen above the church and belongs to the municipality of St. Lorenzen in Val Pusteria. Located at almost 1,450 m, you have a wonderful view of the Bruneck basin from up here. Our farm is the ideal starting point for many hikes, no matter what time of year.
The church in Ellen dates back to 1483 and was dedicated to Saints John and Paul. On the church facade you can see a beautiful sundial with Gothic numerals, which was created in 1618 and gives the little church a special charm.

In the immediate vicinity of the Prielerhof, at 1,365 m, the Gasthaus Häusler which will spoil you with South Tyrolean specialities and Mediterranean delicacies. A special experience is the alte Bauernstube from the year 1878.

Citybus
The city bus runs 4 times a day from Ellen to St. Lorenzen and back again. A bus stop is located directly in front of our farm.

Numerous hikes start right on our doorstep and take you over the Walder Alm to the Astjoch. Popular hiking destinations are also the Rodenecker- or Lüsner-Alm, which you can reach on comfortable paths through forests and meadows in about 1.5 h.
An insider tip is the little-known Blondeleine Alm, which you can reach in about 60 minutes from the farm. The Alm is a self-catering alm and with a voluntary donation you can have a beer and enjoy the beautiful view.
Ski Touring & Snowshoeing
In winter you can ski or snowshoe directly from your apartment fantastic winter landscapes discover. Enjoy the peace and solitude in snow-covered forests, alpine pastures and mountain peaks.
Numerous refreshment options invite you to take a break – Roneralm, Starkenfeldhütte, Rastnerhütte and Kreuzwiesenalm are popular excursion destinations even in winter.
